TEXT: Daniel 7:27
MINISTERING: Rev. Ademola Babatunde
Beginning by defining our terms;
Dominion is power, authority or control over something or someone. It is to be in charge over something.
Mandate is a command or authorization from a superior to a lower one, to act in a particular way.
Dominion Mandate is therefore, a governing authority given from God to man that must be exercised based on the biblical provision.
FULLNESS OF DOMINION
1. Dominion Over Sin. Romans 6:14
Christ came into the world and carried our sin in His body on the cross so we would stop living in sin and start living for what is right.
The more we actively fill our hearts with the desires of knowing the Lord and pleasing Him, the more we would be able to live above sin.
2. Dominion Over Self. Galatians 5:17
Every genuine child of God must understand the essence of who He really is, and that God created him to accomplish His purpose in the world.
Having dominion over oneself is a process of dying to self and living for Christ.
3. Dominion Over Situation. Luke 8:24
In Christ’s redemption work, He restored us in our relationship with God and also restored us to our position for dominion over situations of life.
The toughness of your situation is not strong enough to hinder the thought of God for you.
4. Dominion Over Satan. Luke 10:19
Satan represents anything evil and rebellion against God and His Saints.
God has given us the authority to have dominion over Satan.
FOUNDATION FOR DOMINION
1. God’s Purpose For Dominion. Genesis 1:26
In God’s thoughts about man, even ever before He created man, He intended to create man with dominion ability.
This is God’s determination and His desired results for man’s existence.
2. God’s Pronouncement of Dominion. Genesis 1:28
What God had purposed before man’s creation was pronounced by Him after He created man.
This pronouncement put a seal of authority upon what God had intended.
3. God’s Promise of Dominion. Genesis 9:2
After God destroyed all that He created on earth and a new world emerged with Noah and those that were with him in the ark.
He renewed the promise of dominion to man just as He determined from the beginning.
4. God’s Performance of Dominion. Psalm 8:6
What God had promised, He also performs. It is God who can make man have dominion.
FUNDAMENTAL OF DOMINION
1. Recognize Your Identity. Jeremiah 1:10
Transformation in our lives begins by knowing who we are in Christ. We must know who we are in Christ and what we have received in Him.
If you don’t recognize your identity, you would lose your relevance. You are uniquely created by God.
2. Renew Your Mindset. Romans 12:2
Irrespective of what goes on in your life, if you can change your thought, a lot of things will change in your life.
Approach life with a mindset of possibility.
3. Release Your Faith. 1 John 5:4
It is through the Word of God that our faith grows. It is through the word that we get to know God and the more we know Him, the greater our trust in Him.
Through faith we can confidently;
– Revive Our Prayer Life. Luke 18:1
– Resolve to be Obedient. 2 Corinthians 10:6
– Resist the Devil. James 4:7
In conclusion, the Dominion mandate is God’s design for every believer to live victoriously in this evil world. May this mandate be visible in your life.
