I INTRODUCTION

God designed the family to be a united force.

In view of the dominion mandate God has given unto us, a united force is required to defeat our common enemy.

God’s hand upon the family is to bring us into unity. If there should be one prayer points family should pray daily, it should be “O Lord, place your hand upon us as a family to give us the unity of mind to carry out Your will on earth”

II CALL FOR UNITY Psalm 133:1-3

Unity is a state of oneness. It is also having the whole members of the family being united into one. Unity is finding harmony in our diversity.

God’s desire is that His people dwell together in unity. Every member of the family must seek after the harmony of the family as a unit. This is what differentiates believers from others in the world.

Where there is unity, the blessings of God will be found there.

Where there is unity, the presence of God will be there. Where there is unity, the power of God is there.

John 17:11

Unity is critical to the fulfillment of God’s mission in the family and in the world in general.

Unity means so much to God. John 17: 21-22

  3. Unity is a Reflection of Christ in us.
  4. Unity is a Demonstration of our Relationship with God.
  5. Unity is a Practical Testimony for the World to see in us.
